Advanced: Build upon social marketing and behavior change from the earlier tiers, with an introduction to formative research and journey mapping to develop a deeper understanding of the customers' needs. Participants will learn how to apply the IRS tax code and planning and regulatory instruments to accelerate TDM implementation and discover exciting new technologies that can advance TDM.
Overview: The TDM Professional Learning Series provides a foundational education for individuals in the Transportation Demand Management (TDM) field. The series is a 1-hour live, online course offered weekly and is recorded to enable participants to access after the live session.
This program includes topics such as designing and managing new TDM-related programs for a business, community or governmental unit; managing a functional TDM-related specialty area such as planning, marketing, management or policy; coordinating a TDM-related project within a transportation agency, such as a transit agency, state or local government department of transportation, rideshare organization or a related local government position; designing, managing, or coordinating similar other non-profit oriented organizations.
The Learning Series is offered at 3 tier-levels to appeal to learners of every experience level in the industry, including core, intermediate and advanced.
The Advanced Learning Series includes 10 sessions made up of 1-hour, live online instruction, interaction with other participants, skill-building activities, and interactive competency checks. After completing the course, participants receive a microcredential to share on social media.
